I heard that the people who are in uniform and wear those gloves are payed to push people into the trains.. it's their actual job...
if I'm wrong then do say so..
no your right, thats actually the norm in japan. Its just to crowded like that and peole need to get to work. Its also why pepole get molested and groped so much on the train. You cant be blamed hahaha
I spent a month in Japan this summer and was never pushed into a train. I also didn't witness any train gropings. I found the trains clean and efficient.

I was highly disappointed
well i guess its not like that all over japan, just during rish hours where its a high population.
If I lived in Japan and had to commute like that, I'd just get up earlier and take an empty train. But sometimes you don't have a choice because your station is closer to downtown and it's already full by the time it arrives. In that case, I'd take the bus.
This is one of those things that confirms my view that while Japan is an interesting country in so many ways, I would never want to live there. Visit it sure, but live there, no way, too crowded for a country boy like me haha.

Yeah, exactly. My teacher was talking about that yesterday.. that's the normal morning rush in Japan. That's also why they have women only carts in the back, because it often makes women feel uncomfortable being pressed so close to a bunch of men.
